CitySlips Flats To Go!

Ladies, do your feet hurt after wearing heels for hours? Do you go out with your girls and limp to the car after the club? Do you work all day and soak your feet all night? Well CitySlips are here to solve your problem! I was waiting on a sponsorship from this company but then I saw a deal from LastCall.com and I couldn't resist buying these adorable leopard print ballet flats.
They came in an adorable hard-cardboard box with a string at the top that you can use to carry. The flats are thicker than I thought but it's perfect for walking on the gravel ground. I hate the to-go flats that are paper thin and you can feel every pebble on the ground.
Its padded in the front and the heel with a thick non-slip padding. It folds up easily and came with a small leather pouch that unfolds into a plastic tote. The tote is thin and cheap but the pouch is pretty soft and nice.
With the flats folded up and zipped in the pouch, it comes out to be the size of a small clutch purse. I wouldn't say its convenient for the club or going on a dinner date, however, if you work or go shopping in heels, this is good to throw in your purse or car and change into afterwards. Its also useful if you travel and want to change into flats on the plane or in the car ride at any time.
Here's how they look on. I bought 6.5 and its pretty true to its size. The back is a bit loose on me but not uncomfortable. They fit well to the foot and the design is very cute. From far away, they look just like normal flats. Up close they look a bit like to-go shoes because the material is not as thick as regular shoes. Hope this helps you ladies out one day!

Till next time :)

More LUSH!!

I admit....I am addicted....I love, love, love this store!!! So I went in to get a sample of the Imperalis moisturizer and I walked out with T for Toes and Sweet Lips lip scrub.
The T for Toes is a dusting powder made with tea tree and lime essential oils. It is suppose to soak up moisture and take away any bad odors in your shoes and on your feet. I wear closed-toed flats and heels barefoot at work everyday so my feet do get a bit sweaty throughout the day. This powder does keep my feet dry and the scent is not unbearable. It does smell a bit medicinal.
The consistency is like powdered sugar. I like the fact that it stays in the shoe long enough to work its magic for the odors, however, if you have black shoes and the powder falls on your shoe, it completely turns it white. Its as if you walked through white sand and it got stuck on the shoe. Its not attractive and looks dirty. It can be cleaned off with a wet napkin, but its just annoying to deal with.
Overall, it does help the smell and supposedly kills bacteria. I think it'll be good for the winter when I wear a lot of boots with socks. I would recommend people try it if they wanna deal with stinky shoes :P
The Sweet Lips Lip Scrub is like eating sugar from a jar. I think that it does help a bit to take off the dead skin on your lips. Not too useful, but it tastes heavenly! It is chocolate and vanilla flavored. They also have bubblegum and mint julep. The ingredients include jojoba oil to keep your lips moist and castor sugar that gently exfoliates. It takes the hard-to-get-off colors that some lipsticks and lip tints leave on your lips. It makes your lips silky smooth if there's not too many scabs or dry patches.

I tried on the It Started With A Kiss Lip Tint at the store after using this and I must say, I am tempted to go back and get it. The coral color is really vibrant and pretty. The texture is smooth and balmy. Definitely a good combo, but if you don't want to spend the extra money on a lip tint, and chapstick or lip balm will add a good dose of moisture after the scrub!
Till next time :)

March Hit and Misses: LUSH Haul!

For the month of March, I didn't buy a lot of new products cause I'm trying to finish up all the stuff I currently have. However, I went on a Lush haul recently and completely fell in love!! For those of you who don't know what Lush is: Lush is an animal-cruelty free, vegetarian, organic and go green brand. They are handmade products with little to no preservatives in the product and packaging itself. The store assistants were super friendly and did demonstrations of their products for me. They also gave samples of things I wanted to try before buying. So here are the things I bought:
Bubble Bars:
Sunny Side: This citrus-scented silky wonder looks like a glitter disaster but the glitter actually dissolves into nothing in the bath tub. It creates this beautiful shimmer in the water that makes it addicting to stare at. The bubbles form to movement so once you run the bar under hot water, the bubbles will start. Me and my boyfriend actually refilled the tub 5 times and still got some bubbles out of it. We cut it in half and used it for two baths. The tangerine oil really makes your skin soft and smooth. Definitely a fun little kick to a normal bubble bath.

Yuzu and Cocoa: This is from Lush's Bubbleroons line. It has extra virgin coconut oil and shea butter. It has a yummy chocolate orange scent that makes you almost want to eat it like a macaroon. The clever design lets you twist it in half and save the other half for later. It is definitely moisturizing even after you get out of the bath. Be warned: your significant other might just wanna take a bit out of you after ;)

Bath Bombs:
Dragon's Egg: I haven't had a chance to use this one yet, but reading the description made me interested in it. This has lemon oil and smells like citrus. (We like citrus scents if you haven't noticed) It's suppose to crackle and explode into a glittery fizz. Sounds like an exciting bath time!

Geo Phyzz: I love love love the smell of this bath bomb. It has volcanic clay and Hawaiian sea salt. The pine and cypress scent is not too intense that you can't handle it. Its subtle and incredibly relaxing. I went rock climbing for 4 1/2 hours on Saturday. Needless-to-say, my muscles were completely in pain the next day so I dropped the whole thing of Geo Phyzz in the bathtub and climbed in. Within 10 mins, my body felt relaxed and heated, not just from the hot water but from the blood circulation I got from the product. It didn't do much to moisturize my skin but it helped a lot with stress and sore muscles.

Gorilla Perfume Lust: First off, let me say, I love the smell of Jasmine flowers. That's the main reason why I adore Juicy Couture's perfume cause it has a base fragrant of jasmine. Well, this perfume smells like 100% jasmine galore! It smells purely of this beautiful flower and the scent lasts a long time. My boyfriend could still smell it subtly lingering in my hair the next day. I tried on the solid version in the store, which is a few dollars cheaper, however I think in the humid FL summers, the solid won't feel too good on the skin. For those of you in colder states, I think the solid perfume is a good buy cause its easy to carry around and use on the go. The store assistant was kind enough to tell me that jasmine products tend to leave a red tint on clothes so be careful when applying to white clothing. I bought the 14ml spray for purse carrying, they also have a 30ml for home use.
Solid Shampoo Seanik: Now I've never thought of the concept of solid shampoo nor did I want to rub a bar of soap on my head, but I've heard great things about their shampoo bars volumizing hair and with the oncoming summer heat, I thought I'd invest in one and give it a shot. I haven't tried it yet, but I bought this blue sea salt based Seanik. It smells like the ocean and has bits of seaweed in the soap. I was recommended the tin because it does get messy sitting in the shower. To store it, make sure it is completely dry before putting it in the tin or it will dry to the tin itself. Seanik is suppose to help control oil in your hair as if you went swimming in the ocean and came out with super clean, dry hair. However, it still has moisturizing ingredients such as lemon oil, jasmine and orange blossom. It smells amazing and hopefully will make my hair look amazing too!!

I also got samples of Enzymion, Gorgeous and Imperialis moisturizers as well as a piece of Fresh Farmacy cleansing soap. I will be reviewing these soon and seeing if I buy the full-size products!

Till next time :)

Beauty Secret #5: Dark Chocolate

Yes folks I said it! Chocolate! For those of you who think that cutting all sweets out of your life is healthy, you're partially wrong. Chocolate is actually good for you if eaten in moderation!
The healthiest kind is dark chocolate with high cocoa content. There are a lot of flavonoids, which are antioxidants. They help protect the body from disease by neutralizing the molecules that contribute to aging and tissue damage. So consuming these antioxidants on a regular basis can help reduce clogged arteries, heart disease, high cholesterol and blood pressure and hormonal imbalances. It also contributes to looking more alive and radiant! I usually try to have about half a Ghiradelli Intense Dark 72% Twilight Delight bar a week to avoid in-taking too much sugar and offsetting the health benefits.
Chocolate also helps improve mood, relieve stress and help reduce chances of depression. With our society being so fast-paced and stress-filled, its important for women who are sensitive to these symptoms to try to prevent them from getting worse. The serotonin in the chocolate is a natural “anti-depressant”. Chocolate is a great energy booster and could have better benefits than coffee because it releases the “happiness hormones” endorphins.
The following list gives a more extensive overview of the beneficial qualities of chocolate:
1. One of the main ingredients of chocolate, the cocoa butter contains plenty of stearin acid, thanks to which eating chocolate does not increase the cholesterol content of blood, and therefore does not increase the risk of cardio-vascular diseases.
2. Chocolate contains important nutrients: iron, zinc, potassium, magnesium, copper and vitamin B.
3. Chocolate has a slightly stimulating effect thanks to its theobromine content.
4. For acne-prone skin: Studies in recent years have revealed that chocolate does not cause acne.
5. For mothers: Chocolate does not cause hyperactive behaviour and hyperactivity related to the attention deficit disorder of children. The research papers published on this topic reveal that none of the studies show a connection between hyperactive behaviour and chocolate consumption.

6pm.com Steve Madden Shoes

A couple weeks ago, I saw a coupon code for up to 60% off sale on Steve Madden shoes on 6pm.com so I jumped to check it out. I have never heard of this site prior to this so I did some researched first. After seeing a lot of good reviews about the company, I decided to check out what they had. The P-Gabor pair I bought was $109.95 and I got them for $45.99. I believe the sale is still going on so if you're interested, click here
The order was processed and shipped out immediately. I placed the order Mar. 29 and got it today. The packaging lacked a bit. There was no protective supplies inside. The shoe box was just placed in a box way bigger.
I found a gorgeous pair of suede pumps, perfect for color-blocking this spring. Originally, I really wanted the taupe suede color, but after much persuasion from my boyfriend, I decided to take a leap and get the bold blue suede color instead. The suede material is very soft and comfortable to wear. The overall shoe seems pretty sturdy but the back zipper and the strap around the ankle seem a bit cheap. The small piece of suede holding the ankle strap is especially delicate so I would suggest being super careful using the strap adjustments.
Here's how the color looks with and without flash. The shoe is a 6.5 and I wear from 6.5 to 7 usually so I would say they run smaller than the norm. I will update the true comfort of these shoes after wearing them out a couple times. I will also post my OOTD with these lovely additions soon!

Till next time :)
